:EDIT: Finally a scanned version! Much better, huh?
TODAY (05.27) IS REITA'S BIRTHDAY!!!!
誕生日おめでとう!!! OTANJOUBI OMEDETOU REITAAAA~~
So I posponed SO DAMN MUCH this drawing..... To post on his birthday!!
Reita, bassist from ガゼット (the GazettE)~
This was actually my first attempt to draw something in realistic style.... What do you think?? It was sooooo fun to draw this bass!! I think I had more fun drawing his bass than the rest... But well, the rest is Reita himself, so everything is very amusing to draw
Reita = BASS = Reita playing BASS =
Ooohhh, bassists~~
.:Media:. 4B and 6B pencils .:Time:. +- 2 and a half hours .:Reference:.[link] ♥
I hope you like it!!

This is absolutely amazing! It's not often you see a drawing on this subject matter, and especially one done so well. You've got the metallic surfaces of the guitar down to a "T".
What's also interesting about this piece is the way in which you've drawn the reflections on the guitar, and subtly blended the pencil shading.
Plus, your use of perspective works pretty well. It shows you'vre willing to break from the norm when it comes to character-based art.Overall, this drawing is clean and crisply rendered.
The only real minus is the text at the top left hand. It kind of feels like a note written on the paper. I think a fancy logo-type text would have looked better. Even so, that doesn't detract from what a well-done piece this is.
I think this looks really good, but still looks cartoonish. The bass looks great but reita himself looks cartoonish. The lines look too defined and dark. I think if you were to lighten the lines (or just not us any at all) it would look more realisic.
